Set Yourself Up to Succeed
If there is a habit that you want to own, there are ways that you can help yourself!
Plan ahead. If you want to exercise in the morning, put out your sneakers and workout clothes the night before. If you want to meditate, leave your cushion and timer out so you’ll be reminded. If you want to take your vitamins, place them on the counter. If you want to eat better, plan your meals for the week and keep healthy snacks handy for emergencies.
There are thousands of formulas for helping people stick with changes they intend to make. Everyone’s habits and goals are different so the specifics of changing the patterns in our lives differ from person to person. However, reminders can help everyone.
Give yourself cues to motivate your desired behavior and don’t forget to congratulate yourself after a job well done!
