Say It Out Loud
If you enjoy or appreciate something, savor it and say it out loud. Whether you’re with close friends, in a crowd of strangers, or even if you’re alone, express your appreciation.
Happiness is a lot more than just a feeling. It’s also about noticing, enjoying and prolonging the experience by taking action. Verbalizing what you are feeling allows you to linger in it. If others hear you, they might be inspired and enjoy your experience as well.
Practice this. If you are thinking something nice about someone, share it and give a sincere compliment. If you’re dining out and really enjoying your meal, tell the wait staff. Next time you catch yourself thinking “Wow!” about something, don’t hold back. Say it out loud!
