The Importance To Grieve
Grief is nature’s way of allowing you to cleanse and heal. There is no right way to do it. However you grieve, you are taking care of yourself.
My mother passed away last weekend and I am choosing to grieve in a way that enables me to savor all of the good experiences that we shared and to appreciate everything I learned from her. It is kind of crazy, but we can choose how we want to remember someone. While this is not how my mom looked at the end of her life, it is a photograph of her from many years ago, and the way that I have chosen to remember her.
There is no right or wrong way to grieve. There are healthy ways to cope with loss, that in time, can renew you and permit you to move on. The important thing is that you allow yourself to grieve.
