Press The Pause Button

Today’s motivational Monday tip is about practicing “The Pause”. Stepping back or pausing helps you see things more clearly. Things are going to happen in life and we all know they don’t always go the way we want. Learning to practice “the pause” gives you a chance to choose how to respond rather than react in situations.

This week become aware of how often you can practice the pause. In daily life, pausing provides the gift of time. Time allows other people to feel heard without being interrupted; time brings reason to hot feelings; time can calm you down allowing you to get centered; and most importantly, time allows you to choose how to respond rather than react. This week, notice how different it feels to be more in control of your emotions.
