The Biggest Gift
One of the best ways to show love and appreciation to someone is to understand who they are. Trying to see things from someone else’s point of view is a skill that can be developed and will improve all of your relationships. (Habit 5, Stephen Covey)
We are limited when we look at the world from our own perspective. It has a built-in bias from our past and it is self-centered. Moving from an egocentric way of thinking is not only a place of emotional growth but can also be very liberating.
When you practice seeing things through another person’s eyes, you gain insight into their perspective.
This week, when you’re in conversation or situations with others, step back and really try to put yourself in the other person’s shoes. This is a very powerful tool.
